Introducing the Pantone Color of the Year 2019

Happy New Year!! Bold color is coming back on trend and we are here for it! Introducing Pantone’s color of the year - Living Coral!

Pantone introduced it this way “In reaction to the onslaught of digital technology and social media increasingly embedding into daily life, we are seeking authentic and immersive experiences that enable connection and intimacy. Sociable and spirited, the engaging nature of PANTONE 16-1546 Living Coral welcomes and encourages lighthearted activity. Symbolizing our innate need for optimism and joyful pursuits, PANTONE 16-1546 Living Coral embodies our desire for playful expression.”

This is the 20th year that Pantone has declared a color of the year for the design industry. This is not an arbitrary process, but one that takes careful thought, consideration, and influence. We think they have nailed it this year, and have come up with some fun ways to incorporate it into your home.

Go Bold

Have you been sitting back waiting for the all white and muted grey trend to end? If so here is your chance to go big. Bold accent walls are back and bolder than before. Mix it up with muted tones and pops of color in the rest of the room and make an elegant and stunning statement

Mix it up

Gone are the days of everything having to be uniform and pristine. While uniformity is does have its place, we like this idea of adding pops of color throughout the kitchen through mix-and-match cabinet doors, drawer pulls, and accessories. Not only is it eye catching, these simple changes are a way to do a beautiful kitchen makeover without breaking the bank.

Just a Pop

Not ready to commit to bold walls, or redo cabinets? That is okay. You can still bring in this stunning color in subtle ways like these kitchen bar stools. We love the idea of bringing in color with dishes, utensils, or colorful kitchen appliances like this kitchen aid mixer. Changing up accessories are an easy way to freshen up a look and bring in an on trend color without making permanent changes.

There is no better way to compliment all these ideas than with timeless trends such as marble, soapstone, or quartz. Whatever way you choose to bring in this color this year, we hope you will let us help you bring your imaginations to life with quality surfaces.
