Designing Around Vetrazzo

Of course we love Vetrazzo for it's eco-friendly reputation, but did you know that it's also one of the most versatile surfaces in our inventory? It's true! Vetrazzo can be dressed up or down and fit any design aesthetic in your home or business. Subtle or a statement, Vetrazzo can add the perfect touch to your space. Subtle Color
This beach house blends in with its surroundings and features a breezy blue in the kitchen, making a statement with a blue Big Chill refrigerator. The fridge gets all the attention in this space, but the countertops play a supporting role, adding just a touch of color to tie in the white and blue decor and overall look of the kitchen. These Vetrazzo countertops unite the white cabinets with the pops of blue, making the entire design appear more cohesive.

Alehouse Amber
From a distance, what looks like granite is actually Vetrazzo in "Alehouse Amber." This slab of Vetrazzo is comprised of amber and brown shades of glass, along with clear and green pieces to give a unique overall look to this kitchen. We always encourage people to consider Vetrazzo if they are looking for a surface that provides a little more character in their space but isn't over the top. Alehouse Amber blends well with a range of cabinets, backsplashes, and paint colors, making it a great choice if you like to change your kitchen colors or accessories often.

Neutrals
We love the clean look of this modern kitchen, featuring Vetrazzo countertops in "Glass House." The overall light coloring of this Vetrazzo variation make it a great choice if you're looking for a light color, but don't want to use marble. Many people have the idea that Vetrazzo is always a bold color or muticolor, but we carry multiple options similar to "Glass House" that make it easy to build a neutral space around your countertops.

Warm Tones
Even though we at Imagine Surfaces are not "designers," we get a lot of questions about which surface will look the best with light wood cabinets or hardwood floors. Of course this largely depends on personal preference and on tone of wood, but pairing Vetrazzo with wood allows you to create a tone on tone space that doesn't feel cold or harsh. Using the "Charisma Blue Patina" gives you a warm base, but also includes a few specs of blue and green, making it easy to pull color into your space.

It's easy to see why Vetrazzo is one of the most versatile surfaces that can be used in your kitchen, especially with all of the color possibilities available. We would be happy to answer any questions you have about Vetrazzo or our current inventory
