Imagine Surfaces was founded in 2016 by Cabe and Matt with a single ambition: to build the premier stone showroom on the East Coast. We began with Vermont Danby marble — one stone, chosen carefully — then turned to Italy, sourcing only the best selection available.
Today our library spans India, Brazil, Namibia, and beyond. We started small and bought only the best of what we could find — and that discipline has never changed. Every slab in our Landover gallery is selected by hand for its beauty, distinction, and character.
From one stone to a world of them.
We started small — a warehouse, a handful of slabs, and a rule we have never broken: only buy the best of what we can get. Our first stone was Vermont Danby, an American classic quarried a day's drive from our door.
Italy came next. We built relationships with quarries and workshops across Italy, walking the yards and selecting every block ourselves. That is still how we buy today — if a slab is on our floor, one of us stood in front of it first.
As the years went on, the library grew: quartzites from Brazil, stones from India, Namibia, and around the world. The goal has never changed — an unmatched selection, backed by service to the same standard.
